Rank is a position of honor and respect yes, above that rank is a position of service to your guild, and guild mates. Rank comes with responsibilities.
When you enter Ferrata you enter into the Military ranks. Your rank will always be a military one, even if you choose a different branch of the guild. This branch is made up of those who protect and fight in the name of Ferrata.
Ferrata is ran by a Grand Council and a High Council. There is also a Senate, made up of members elected by the guild.
Praetorian Guard: Captain, Lieutenant
The Praetorian Guard is the elite forces of Ferrata, and the personal protection of the leadership. The Captain is the leader of the Guard, he may also promote Lieutenant as needed. Promotion to Lieutenant needs approval by the Grand Council. The Captain of the Guard is a member of the High Council.
Prefect
An officer put in place directly by the Emperor or the Grand Council. Serves in various duties or a very specific need. In the case of military duty, a Tribune might appoint a Prefect to help run training exercises, and gather supplies. A prefect may also be appointed to special councils.
Consul
General oversight and administration of guild needs. Sometimes aids to the Senate, and officers. Member of the High Council.
Praetor
Quartermasters of the guild. Taking in and distributing donations. Keeping track of resources, goods and the armory.
Magistrate
A Magistrates roll is primarily a judicial one. Setting conflicts and disputes between guild members, and should the situation arise, he would work with the Cardinal to resolve conflict with members of other guilds.
Prefect
An officer put in place directly by the Emperor or the Grand Council. Serves in various duties or a very specific need. A prefect may also be appointed to special councils. A typical administrative Prefect would be a high level aid.
The Civil branch is in place to monitor the general morale of Ferrata.
Senator
An elected member of the Senate. A representative of the people. Senators must be of rank Legionnaire
to run for election. Senators are able to come before the Grand Council and address the concerns of the guild. Senators are also members of the High Council.
Cardinal, Bishop
The Cardinal is responsible for guild relations, acting as a Liaison between other guilds. Making alliances and recruiting new members. He may also be used in other matters of state as the Grand Council sees fit. The Cardinal can also appoint bishops to assist him in his duties. Appointments must be approved by the Grand Council.
Patrician
Patricians are responsible for recruiting new members. Along with overseeing the needs and orientation of the new recruits.
